the common linnets - calm after the storm
this is GORGEOUS. if i hadn't already decided to root for finland this year, i would want this to win. very robert plant & alison krauss. def going to better check out this band later




the shin & mariko - three minutes to earth
this is nice. i hope they get to the finals.




basim - cliche love song
good vibes. it's cute. but how come there's no full-lenght studio version?




aarzemnieki - cake to bake
ADOOORABLE. slightly ällö as well. and hilarious. "i've got a cake to bake and haven't done that before." "ask your mother how to bake that cake." "make some dough. add some love."




firelight - coming home
i can't watch the video because the singer's super intense staring creeps me out, but SONG! nice! mumford and sons-ey. loving the harmonica bits :3




twin twin - moustache
awesome. like actually a really freaking great song.




elaiza - is it right
kind of boring yeah, but this feels like a real sincere entry & i always like that. unlike the "let's calculate what kind of song ""should""" succeed in the eurovision song contest and send that" ones (looking at you UK ಠ_ಠ)

(speaking of UK aaahhh i REALLY WANT THEM TO WIN SOME YEAR BECause gees they actually make really great music and they'd probably host a super epic show if they got the chance but JESUS GOD with the SUCKY ASS EUROVISION ENTRIES WHEN WILL YOU LEARN DEAR UK? WHEN)

i want to like it but i'm so annoyed by the painted-on beard. i mean yeah go in drag and leave your beard on, that's kind of cool actually, but don't try this hard?! :(
