if you're here because you searched for "what is eurovision":
Eurovision Song Contest is like a Miss Europe pageant, except it's a song contest. It's about fun and love and peace and unity. Performers are not allowed to make political statements and no more than six people are allowed on stage. It started 60 years ago and has been held every year. Scantily clad women, drag queens and outfit changes are the usual. Eurovision is embraced by the gay community. Every performer gets amazing international publicity, and the winning song's country gets to hold the contest the following year (bringing thousands of tourists).
